I was just thinking about the Gaile grey event and the Party Time! effect that made you get double party points.

What if they made a weekend event in a similar fashion and possibly added sweet tooth to it. Maybe they could combine it with special treats weekend or possibly add a couple of new drops. With all of the repeating PvE weekends it would be nice to mix it up a bit.

With the amount of sweettooth and party points available in circulation after the Wintersday event, it would wreak untold havok on one part of the GW economy that was very much stable.

Halving the points required to max the titles, will equally double the price of points if not more because of huge demand and huge stashes of supply.

New content is always cool though.
Maybe for GW's birthday?

They have already stated they will not be hosting another such weekend event. Martin said that the insane amount of party items going off did a number on the servers.

It would be nice so have some of those collectors re-appear (perhaps with new goodies) since they took several items which currently have no purpose, like Demonic Remains.

I think you've got that backwards. Halving the number required should reduce the price, as supply exceeds demand. However, people might be willing to pay more to get them in time for the event ... Overall, I don't think it would significantly affect the price.

But I also don't think such an event is necessary - it's not as though there isn't a shortage of party or sweet tooth points since Nicholas came around.

Demand spikes massively though because people will observe that they can get title progression faster. While they would not likely pay double (as they still want to save some money while they're at it) they'd probably pay 150-175 percent of the normal cost of sweets.

This. The servers had a bad seizure during said event. The poor things definately wouldn't survive another event like that with the current state of them. xD
